LaSer
A European leader in customer relationships
Invented by LaSer Cofinoga in 1971, the magnetic stripe card today exists in many forms, including co-branded and single-brand cards, bank cards, loyalty cards, gift cards, club cards and contactless cards.
These little pieces of plastic are a pivotal lever in the brand’s strategy, unlocking powerful marketing expertise and complex technologies to create strong ties with customers. Cards have become a prime vehicle for building customer value and deepening loyalty.
LaSer constantly tracks social trends to proactively respond to consumer desires and improve customer relationships.
With operations in nine European countries, LaSer is the European leader in intermediation and customer relationship solutions. Its comprehensive vision of the entire process encompasses payment cards, credit cards, loyalty cards and customer relationship management.
LaSer is the leader in loyalty programs in France through its role in the S’Miles® alliance, created jointly in 2002 by Galeries Lafayette and Casino/Shell.
A pioneer in gift cards, notably for Galeries Lafayette and BHV, LaSer drew on its European expertise to introduce France’s first co-branded card in October 2007. This major innovation combines the unique personalized advantages of a private label card and the S’Miles program with the ubiquitous convenience of a MasterCard bank card.
Proactive innovation and groundbreaking application of new technologies enabled LaSer to introduce the first 100% paperless contract in May 2007 in partnership with Banque Casino. Consumers can purchase a full range of financial products and services directly on the Web, using an electronic signature.
LaSer has also participated in the development of an exciting new contactless payment solution using mobile phones.
LaSer is equally owned by Groupe Galeries Lafayette and Cetelem (BNP Paribas Personal Finance).
